At Shubham Zambad Architects (SZA), our studio is more than a workplace — it is a constantly evolving environment crafted to support the pace, intensity and plurality of architectural practice. Designed as an open, fluid, and resilient space, the studio adapts effortlessly to the shifting demands of design development, team collaborations, client interactions and community engagement.
The space unfolds through workstations, a design discussion zone, an extensive reference and material library, informal meeting corners, a formal meeting area, and the Principal Architect’s studio. Despite the variety of functions, there are no physical barriers dividing these zones. The visual and spatial continuity represents our core philosophy: “Together We Make.”
An integrated, transparent and participatory approach to design is at the heart of every decision we take.
Our studio’s flexibility is highlighted in the video that showcases how the entire setup can be reconfigured — expanding into a presentation area, transforming into a community meeting space, or opening up for product displays and design workshops. The space accommodates multiple group sizes, enabling us to host conversations, ideation huddles and collective design reviews with ease.
The material and reference library anchors the studio, offering tactile inspiration through curated samples, prototypes, technical manuals and evolving project references. These materials constantly inform our detailing, helping ideas transition from concept to craft.
Nature is an essential part of the studio’s character. Live indoor plants run through the workspace, softening the environment and adding a sense of calm and liveliness. They keep the air fresh, bring an organic rhythm to the space, and subtly enhance creative energy — a reminder that good design grows in mindful surroundings.
Every corner of the SZA studio reflects our belief that architecture is a collaborative pursuit. It is a place where ideas circulate freely, where discussions flow across the room, and where people, materials, and imagination come together to shape meaningful spaces.
