Project Overview
This Community Housing initiative reimagines neighbourhood living through a human-centric masterplan. Designed as a curated cluster of twin bungalows, the project adopts a uniform façade language to create a calm, cohesive architectural identity that strengthens the visual character of the entire development.
Planning Concept
At the heart of the design lies a vehicle-free central street, formed by east–west oriented twin bungalow pairs facing each other. This pedestrian street becomes the social spine of the neighbourhood — safe, breathable, and designed exclusively for people.
All vehicular movement is relocated to a separate common parking zone, ensuring the internal lane is reserved for:
• children’s play
• casual conversations
• morning walks
• community life
Landscape & Social Spaces
The central street is thoughtfully landscaped with:
• shaded seating pockets
• micro-gardens
• resting nodes
• informal gathering spaces
These elements foster interaction, inclusivity, and a strong sense of belonging — transforming the street into more than just circulation, but a shared living room for the community.
Architectural Character
Each home features balcony and terrace flower beds, creating a continuous green ribbon across the development. This integration of greenery:
• softens architectural edges
• reinforces neighbourhood identity
• improves micro-climate and well-being
Context & Impact
Set within a rural context, this development represents a bold, forward-thinking housing model — one of the first of its kind in the region. It introduces urban planning sensitivity into a town ready to evolve, merging:
community spirit + architectural clarity + landscape-led design.
Design Essence
Community Housing stands as a prototype for the future of rural neighbourhoods —
A place that breathes, connects, and belongs to its people.
A living example of rural development redefined through architecture
