Project Year: 2024
Location: Nashik, Maharashtra
Plot Area: 63 Sq. M
Typology: Residential | Row House
Scope: Architecture | Urban Design | Landscape Integration
Project Overview
Part of the larger Gajra Vrindavan Mass Housing Development, spread across 9 acres, this row housing cluster reimagines compact living through thoughtful design and spatial efficiency. Within this community — which also features a 30,000 sq. ft. landscaped garden designed by SZ Architects — the row houses stand as a model of micro-home luxury, combining practicality with refined aesthetics.
Design Philosophy

Each unit, set on a modest 63 sq. m plot, has been meticulously planned to offer the experience of a complete home within a compact footprint. The design ensures that every square meter serves a purpose — balancing privacy, openness, and natural light.
The ground floor includes a covered car park and a versatile multipurpose room with an attached toilet — ideal as a guest suite, home office, or elderly bedroom. A centrally placed staircase and provision for an elevator are anchored by a skylit courtyard, which becomes the heart of the home, bringing daylight and ventilation to all levels.
Spatial Configuration
-
First Floor: A spacious living area with a balcony, powder toilet, dining space, and a full-sized kitchen form the social core of the home.
-
Second Floor: Two well-proportioned bedrooms with attached toilets, including a west-facing room featuring a balcony and flower bed, strengthen the connection to the outdoors.
Out of the 10 total units, 8 share common walls, while the 2 corner units enjoy open margins on three sides, enhancing privacy, light, and ventilation.

Passive Design Features
The central courtyard serves as a passive climate design element, naturally illuminating and ventilating each level. The sectional design highlights how light filters through the core, creating dynamic spatial quality and visual openness — a rare experience in compact housing.

Design Essence

Gajra Vrindavan – Row House stands as a demonstration of how micro-plots can be transformed into premium living spaces. By integrating smart planning, climate responsiveness, and refined detailing, the design achieves a lifestyle experience that feels expansive beyond its footprint.
A project that exemplifies the art of doing more with less — thoughtful, functional, and delightfully human in scale.
